Why Healthcare Reimbursement Services?
Virginia College has graduated some of the best employees in the healthcare industry in each of the communities we serve. Many of our programs include an externship in which our students spend ten weeks working in their field of study in an actual work environment. There they get real-life experiences. Our Billing and Coding students also take part in this externship and have historically worked in physician offices, billing offices and hospitals.
We have established Healthcare Reimbursement Services to serve two purposes:
- Offer a state of the art billing and coding business for the physician practices in our communities.
- Provide an actual business environment where our students can
perform their externships just as they are doing today in the physician
and billing offices in your community. Through this externship, our
students will be exposed to the latest technology and be taught the
billing and coding business from the professionals that work in our
business.
Our goal is to be able to provide to the industry graduates in billing and coding who can step right in to businesses like yours and have an immediate impact.
Gold Standard in Billing Services
In order to be able to provide a gold standard service to our clients, we
assembled a team of valued professional billing and coding experts to
provide outstanding service to our clients. We have also partnered with
EHS, who has the latest CCHIT certified EHR and has provided us with
the latest practice management technology that we are able to share
with our clients.
In addition, we have relationships with other companies
like Chart Capture, E-Bridge Solution, as well as many others. Our goal
is to provide the best billing and coding service in the industry.
Our Professional Staff
Our billing and coding office will be staffed by a team of professionals that have been in the billing business for many years. Many of our staff members have owned their own billing business in the past while others have worked for physicians and billing companies as well as insurance companies. We require that all of our staff be certified by either AHIMA or AAPC for coding.
