Electronic Health Record (EHR)

A system supporting an electronic health record has a challenge in digitally storing an individual's healthcare information in order to support continuity of care documentation (CCD), education, and research, while ensuring confidentiality. Using the strict requirements of the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT), EHS has engineered CareRevolution to be more than just a medical record usable within an individual office. Rather, an EHR created by EHS can be shared between applicable caregivers.

Structured Medical Knowledge

The benefits of documenting encounters using discrete data includes the availability of researchable clinical data, E&M coding, and legible narrative notes with customized forms. While many vendors offer form-generated documentation, a usable medical knowledge base has to offer terminology that supports the documentation of any clinical interaction as well as the capability to cross map to leading codification systems such as SNOMED, CPT, ICD, and LOINC. And that format must be fast and easy to use. MEDCIN® is such an offering. EHS has embedded the MEDCIN® knowledge base in its CareRevolution point-of-care solution, providing physicians an additional option for documenting progress notes.

Prescription Automation

The e-RX tool lets clinics transmit a prescription as easily as printing it. Patients no longer have to keep track of printed prescriptions -- the prescription is sent to a participating pharmacy where the patients need only to pick it up. In most cases, the prescription arrives at the pharmacy before the patient is checked out. Patients can pick up their prescription without waiting -- and since the prescription originates within CareRevolution, it becomes part of the patient's record.

Healthcare Messaging

EHS understands the importance of being able to move patient information between systems. From outside laboratories to other care providers, your system must be able to interface and communicate with disparate systems and share critical patient data. Working with standards such as HL7, EHS has designed CareRevolution to be able to send demographic data to and receive details from both internal and external systems. From sending receipt of lab orders to tracking a patient's appointments, CareRevolution handles it all.
